What is the difference between an interior designer and interior decorator?

Hayward & Co is an interior decorating and styling studio. We help you with sourcing furniture, soft furnishings, colour choices, furniture placement, sourcing fabric and wallpaper. We help with transforming a house into your home.

We cannot advise on structural changes, or technical drawings. However, we are happy to work with your builder or architect on spatial layouts and to advise on finishes and colours throughout the renovation process.

What sort or budget do I need to redecorate my home?

We understand that it is not necessarily realistic to have a large sum of money set aside for the furniture and décor of your home – especially after you have you just purchased and moved in! That's why we pride ourselves on creating beautiful spaces at an accessible cost. We can also create personalized plans that map out furniture and décor selections for you to implement when time and budget allow.

Can you purchase furniture items for me?

We have access to a wide range of trade industry discounts hence hiring Hayward & Co. as your industry professional is a very cost-effective process.  When required, we are happy to manage the purchase and delivery of products purchased from wholesalers or the production of custom pieces (charges apply).

Should I decorate the whole house at once or one room at a time?

We are happy to work on one space at a time, or tackle the project as a whole. Whatever works best for you, your family and your lifestyle.

How long does it take to decorate my home?

Decorating your home should be well thought-out and a planned process, undertaken with the care your home deserves. It is never a good idea to rush the decisions as this often leads to regret (and added expense) down the track.

It is also important to keep in mind that many retailers have lead times, up to several months for select pieces. However, if you have an event or deadline we will endeavour to work to accommodate your timeframe.
